What Up, Dough? (feat. Autumn Kyles)

Evann sits down with Autumn Kyles, who is one of the co-founders and the CEO of Detroit Dough, the city’s first safe-to-eat cookie dough manufacturer.

Since the business began in 2017, Detroit Dough has been able to sell $180,000 in cookie dough, equaling to approximately 60,000 cups. Detroit Dough has been able to partner with large brands such as the University of Michigan, Bedrock Detroit, lululemon, MJR Digital Cinema and Emagine Theatres.

Although the two-time Hampton University alumna doesn’t have any technical experience in culinary arts, she does admit that she is sort of a “cookie snob.” Take a listen as Autumn goes in depth about how she and her co-founders got the idea for the company, their rapid success, why perseverance is important as a business owner, and why she stans for the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies from Potbelly.
